Support for Social Media Integration

In Connected Business application, the social media buttons are not preconfigured to be shown on your website. In order for these to show, some application configurations should be enabled. Go to eCommerce module > Setup > Application Configuration.

To easily see all those app configs, you may type “social” on the search bar then all the social media tools will be displayed.

Set this to TRUE if you want to view the social media-related activities, latest events, and posts on your websites.

This social media feedbox is located on the lower left corner of your website’s home page.

SocialMediaFeedBoxAPI

This appconfig needs to be configured in order to display the latest posts from your facebook page. This link can be generated using the admin site (e.g. https://www.yourwebsite.com/admin/tools.aspx)

Ability to share Products to Social Media Networks. The more you are engaged with social media networks, the better your business’ visibility will be in the market. Bring in more traffic to your site by posting products on social media networks.

HideSocialMediaShareButton

A specific social media share button can be hidden by typing the name of the social media on the config value field. Place a comma after a social media for multiple social media to be hidden.

e.g. facebook, twitter, dig, stumble, google, email


ShowSocialMediaShareBox

Share a product or item through social media networks by setting this to True.

When a product or item is shared on any social network, this is how it will look like in your social media site.

Support for Website Comment Box. Having a comment box on your website is a good addition to be able to know what your customers think of how you do business to them. Enable the comment box section and you will see how grateful they are with what you sell or solve their concerns if they are not satisfied with your product.

Set this to TRUE if you want viewers to post comments on your site.

Comments can be made by accessing your viewers accounts in Facebook, Yahoo, AOL, Hotmail.

Support for Social Media Subscribe Box. To optimize social media for your website, having a subscription box creates a more personal engagement with your customers and viewers. Enable this app config to show the subscription box.

ShowSocialMediaSubscribeBox

Set this to TRUE if you want to let your viewers subscribe on your website.

You can also add or delete more subscription buttons by accessing the topic page. Go to the eCommerce module > Topics> Find Topics. On the topic list, select “SocialMediaSubscribeBox”, then go to Details section and click HTML tab.

To add a subscription box, simply add a code like this: <A class=facebook title="follow us on facebook" href="https://facebook.com" target=_blank>.

To remove a subscription box, just delete the code similar to the ones stated earlier.

Whether you add or remove a subscription box, refresh your website to see if it has been removed or added. Note: Back up your codes if you have deleted one. You may want to add it at a later time.
