Version: CB26.0
Build: 26.0.XXXX
Release Date: ETA December 2025
Important Reminders:
The auto-update process will not overwrite the existing CBE installation folder. Instead, it will create a new folder named "CBEUpdate" containing all the updated files and changes for Connected Business Ecommerce (CBE). These updates must be manually applied to your existing CBE or web folder. Before proceeding, please back up your database and all server components, including website folders. Additionally, the Web Services component (Internet Connection) is no longer supported and has been removed from this version.
System Requirements and Upgrade Notes:
Database Requirement
This version requires Microsoft SQL Server 2017 or later. Ensure your database environment meets this minimum requirement prior to installation or upgrade.
ERP Web Services Component Removal
The ERP Web Services component has been removed from this release. For remote access or cloud-based connectivity, customers should now use a VPN connection.
Custom Plug-in Compatibility
If you previously engaged a third-party developer to create a custom ERP plug-in for Version 19 or earlier, the plug-in must be recompiled using the Version 20–23 SDK before upgrading. Failure to recompile may result in compatibility issues or system errors.
UPS and FedEx API Security Update
UPS and FedEx have implemented a new
OAuth 2.0 security model for all API integrations. This update enhances security, reduces fraud, and provides improved API capabilities. OAuth replaces traditional
access keys with a Client ID and Client Secret. For setup instructions, see the
UPS and
FedEx Knowledge Base articles.
For those upgrading from version 19 and below who made customizations for the following forms:
- Sale Quote
- Sales Order
- Invoice
- RMA
- Credit Memo
- Purchase Order
- Purchase Requisition
- Goods Received
You will need to re-arrange the layout of your customizations for them to operate properly.
New Features and Key Benefits
Inventory
- Added “UPC Code” Column and Search Functionality in Find Inventory Item – A new “UPC Code” column has been added to all Inventory “Find Item” windows. Users can now search, sort, and filter items by UPC Code, enabling faster and more accurate item lookups.

eCommerce
- Shopping Cart Item prices to reflect the total quantity of Items from the same root category – When customers add multiple items that fall under the same root product category, the system will calculate the combined quantity of those items and apply pricing rules based on the aggregated total rather than per individual item. This ensures consistent bulk pricing, discounts, or tier-based pricing across related products.

- Updated MaxMind Fraud Detection Service – The MaxMind Fraud Detection Service has been updated to the latest API version to improve accuracy and compatibility.

Shipping
- Support the New OAuth 2.0. UPS and FedEx have implemented an OAuth security model for all APIs to enhance overall security, reduce fraud, and provide enhanced API capabilities. OAuth replaces access keys with a client ID and client secret for authentication. Check the Knowledge base article on obtaining UPS and FedEx Client ID and Secret Key.
