Most consumers compare products to know what the difference of products that have similar features is. Another great new feature from Connected Business eCommerce module is its ability to directly compare products with attributes, thereby allowing your shoppers to navigate to and from your website.
With product feature, they can never be at loss choosing what products to buy since they can now compare your products side by side, thus increasing your sales.
When comparing products, it is recommended to use an XML package that allows your online shoppers to check off from one item to another. You may set the XML package from the major entities such as the Category, Department and Manufacturer.
Select the Category (Manufacturer or Department) that you want to apply the product comparison. On the Web Option tab, click on Settings then on the XML package field, select entity.gridwithattribute.xml.config.

Your product entities would have a Compare checkbox as seen on the screenshot below.

You can only compare up to 5 products in the comparison page. If you want to limit the products that can be viewed for comparison, you may set this up through the eCommerce application configuration.
Look for the MaxNumberOfItemToCompare on the search bar and then you can modify the number of items that will show on the product comparison page.

By default, as the products are seached throughout your web page, the comparison checkbox can be easily used to compare products.
