Having trouble calculating the realtime shipping cost for kit items with varying weights? No worries!
Introducing the Connected Business Dynamic Kit Weight feature. Now, you can use the actual combined weight of your selected kit items in calculating your shipping cost instead of the default kit weight.
When you select kit items in the kit configurator, the system will automatically calculate the freight charge for the kit based on the weight of the items selected. (The kit configurator is available on both the Sales Order and Invoice form of the Customer Module).

You can check the freight charge for the kit item using the Freight Quote button (you can only see the freight charge if realtime shipping is used).

In the Freight Quote form, you will see the total kit weight and the corresponding realtime freight charge of the carrier for the shipping method selected. The amount will vary depending on the total weight of the kit.
