Are you using IS SDK SP3 hotfix 1? This is a known issue with hotfix 1. It is already resolved in hotfix 2 which is already available for download in this website.

Hope this helps.

I get the same error when adding a plugin tab. I'm using IS 2007 SP2. Does this problem need hotfix too ?

Would you mind sending us the repro steps to follow so we can trace the problem?

Thanks.

Hi,

I am also facing the same issue since last few times, i just install the hotfix2.But there is still same problem while removed and readded the plugin ,gives the "Unable to initialize plugin. Default constructor not found."
I tried to do some steps, what i did, i removed all the related dll from the directory C:\Program Files\Interprise Solutions\Interprise Suite SDK - March 2008 manually then restart the IS, it worked for some time. but now it is not working. I might be using the wrong way to do it.Please suggest me a way how i can removed a plugin and re-added into the IS, i am working on to add plugin section(tab).

Thanks in advance.

I got this problem here: http://www.connectedbusiness.com/Community/DeveloperForum/tabid/105/forumid/7/postid/1123/view/topic/Default.aspx

If you are running IS on Windows Vista you MUST run it as administrator at all times to add plugins and run the plugins you've added.

Likewise,  I updated the assembly version and reinstalled plugin per the same instructions.  This does not solve the problem.

I've located and determined at least one of the problems  When the Control is instianted ISSI may or may not have loaded all of the DLL's required for the plugin.  For example if you use a 3rd party control or you use a DLL that may be shared among different plugins then you can run into this error as well.    We are investigated if there is an interim solution up to and including the Install of the Shared Assemblies in the GAC.

I've confirmed that the requested Assembly that is not loaded is in SystemPluginAssemblyDependencyBinary.   I'm pretty sure that there is some basic problem that can be fixed in the Base Facade.

In addition the Installing of the plugin does not release the source DLL from usage.   What should happen is the DLL is loaded , released and then the standard procedure of DLL instantiation takes over.  That way the Plugin runs the same way as if the system is rebooted.
