Since no one was able to reply to my previous post I am re-posting it... (PLEASE RESPOND!!!)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What would be the best way to go about importing customers into Interprise Suite via the SDK?

We have 1.2 million customers and the import tool that comes with IS is limited by the fact that only 65,000 customers can fit into 1 excel spreadsheet at a time for importation. Additionally, the import tool in IS only creates new customers, it cannot update current customer information.

I'm sure that somewhere inside the vast IS API there is an object with methods I can use to programmatically create customers. Does anyone know how to do this?

Hi Brian,

I would like to know what is your current database holding your 1.2 million customer? By knowing your database, we can make a solutions out of it.

Pete,

Our current system that we are replacing with IS is called MPX (http://www.mpowersystems.com/).

It is a SQL Server 2000 database. Is there anymore information I can provide you with?

Thanks,
Brian

Hi brian,

Since your database is SQL Server 2000, I assume that your using SQL Server 2000 or SQL Server 2005 for your IS. You can transfer your data by import and export capabilities of SQL Server. All you have to do is to create views on your old database where the table structure is like on IS database in customer table. In adding a customer, the table affected are Customer, CustomerAccount, CustomerShipTo, and CRMContact. Your views to export from your old to IS must have the same number of field. Like Customer table, all field in the Customer must be represented or has a partner on your created view.

I hope this will help you. I you have any thing to clarify just don't hesitate to post in this forum.
